Informix Warehouse Accelerator - Speed is everything
Submitted by eherber on March 30, 2011 - 22:27IBM announced the new Informix Warehouse Accelerator today. The product holds the data in a compressed column format in main memory and achieves query response times that are much faster then those of traditional data warehouses. Beta customers have reported query speedups from 30x through 1000x depending on the data and the type of query.

New Informix edition and feature

Informix just came out with version 11.70.xC2. No big deal you may think. Wrong. It is a big deal! With xC2 we are making available a new edition: IBM Informix Ultimate Warehouse edition.
