IBM Information On Demand Conference 2012 – Big Data and BP Highlights

I look forward to seeing you all at IOD this year. I will be presenting on Sunday, during the Business Partner Development Day. The session is from 2:15pm to 3:15pm.

It will focus around IBM’s support of you, the IBM business partner, in building out your Big Data business. 

I will also be in the Business Partner Café at times as well as the Big Data Pavilion in the solution center.  Please stop by and say hi!

Just a quick note to spread the word around about the next Chat with the Labs webcast. If you don't know what I'm talking about, the Chat with the Labs calls are regular presentations (webcasts) organized by IBM Informix team that talk about several topics. This tales place around once per month, and the next one on October 13 (10:30 AM - 12:00 PM Central time) will talk about "Informix Support - Helping us to help you".

Informix 11.50 EOS Dates

There has been several questions lately on the EOS dates for Informix 11.50 after the EOM was announced. So would like to take this opportunity to clarify  - The EOS dates for 11.50 has not been announced yet. IBM has a new initiative to support the current version plus the two previous versions (N-2) that went into effect on Aug 1st 2011. For Informix this started w/ 11.50. We will need to wait until the next release after vNext (GA in Q1-2013) before we announce the EOS for 11.50.
